A sisterhood
of 1 million+
Black women
You don't have to do this walk alone.
Powered by the love and momentum of Black women everywhere walking out of their front doors in solidarity, we’ve built a life-saving sisterhood. Women who have found the strength to show up for themselves - to hope - step out on faith - to walk towards their healthiest life - now create space to bring along the next sister.
There’s a global collective of Black women waiting to walk alongside you, virtually or otherwise. Whether you’re in your neighborhood, a national park or sitting behind your computer in need of connection, there’s a community of sisters at your reach. Connect with women in a city near you through our private Facebook groups. In each group you’ll find the connection and accountability you’ve been looking for. Search and join your city page today.

Self-Care School
A 10-Week Walking Classroom Teaching the Self-Care Strategies of Our Ancestors.
Rooted in the wisdom of our foremothers, Self-Care School teaches 50 life-saving lessons to help you reset your body, restore your peace, and protect your joy—one step at a time.
During the civil rights movement, Freedom Schools taught everyday people how to survive and fight for change. Self-Care School follows in that tradition.
We know walking works.
We've got the stories to prove it.
In parks, on sidewalks, in churches, at meetings, on the mountaintop, Black women are experiencing walking as a life-transforming ritual. They’re telling the stories of weight loss, more mobility, less medication, self-care, and sisterhood.
